Find Your Way

Master your navigational skills using a map and compass. Orient your map so it matches what you see around you while exploring nature in The Heritage Quarries. Combine your map and compass to find designated markers in the park and make your way through the course to win with the lowest elapsed time! This is an excellent activity for team and group events!

Where To Check-In

Park in Lot 2 -walk across the East Footbridge, enter the park, and check-in at the Paddlesports/Kids Adventure Zone area.

Choose a Level

Orienteering is for everyone. When you arrive at the Orienteering Check In, choose the map best for your level. Pick a beginner, intermediate, or difficult course. 

Map kits and support
  • Each map kit includes an orienteering map, compass, pencil, and drawstring bag.
  • Play as a family, group, or team of up to 6 people.
  • A Forge staff member will provide an introduction to the activity and help you use your map and compass.
What to Wear

Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers appropriate for the weather.
