Fly fishing is more accessible than you might think. Join us for a two-and-a-half-hour crash course that covers the basics, including gear, rigging, knots, flies, proper fish handling, and more. Each participant will learn the traditional fly cast and have the chance to catch velcro fish. All gear is provided. Instruction is led by Ike Rhodes of Illinois Fly Fishing Company. This fully outdoor class runs rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are required. We also recommend bringing personal items to stay comfortable, such as a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses.
