This three-day workshop camp offers an exciting mix of circus arts, including juggling, clowning, stilt walking, face painting, miming and more. Campers will explore aerial lyra and hammock techniques, guided by expert circus professionals and take part in the thrilling "Get a Grip Trapeze" experience.  

 

But the fun doesn’t stop there! In addition to circus adventures, campers can participate in a lineup of ringmaster-approved activities like paddlesports, archery, laser tag, Kids Adventure Zone, Kids Jump Zone and our *NEW* Kids Discovery Zone and 18-hole miniature golf course. Don't miss this unforgettable adventure!

Full day of camp from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM from Monday - Wednesday

Our 3-day “Up In The Air” Circus Adventure Camp sessions are available:

  • June 30 - July 2

 

Bring your own lunch, water bottle and snacks.
All activities will be outside- rain & shine- please dress appropriately.

 

Drop off in parking Lot #2 at 8:30am. Staff will meet you in the parking lot and bring campers to the Nature Center.
Pick up will be at 4pm in Lot #2, staff will bring campers out.

Requirements

Our camp mottos at The Forge: Lemont Quarries are to be safe, responsible and respectful.

  • Children must be seven years old by their first day of camp.
  • Children must be able to communicate wants and needs.
  • Children must be able to understand and follow a clear set of directions in order to be safe.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is drop-off and pick-up?
  • Drop-Off in parking Lot #2 at 8:30 AM. Staff will meet you in the parking lot.
  • Pick-Up at 4 PM in Lot #2. Staff will bring campers out.
How will campers be separated?

Campers will be separated into age groups so that they will be met with activities that peak their interests and abilities.

Can The Forge refund or prorate your camper for missing days?

We cannot. We understand that summer can be hectic but we encourage parents to book their campers for a session that they can attend all three days and get the best experience possible!

Who is facilitating “Up In The Air” Circus Adventure Camp?

“Up In The Air” Circus Adventure Camp is designed and created by educators with a combined 30+years of experience working in camps, schools, and community programming.

  • Led by our Educational Program Director and Camp Coordinator, extensive hiring efforts are underway to find mature, creative, and AWESOME college, high school and adult camp Lead Counselors.
  • All counselors will be trained in CPR, AED and Basic First Aid along with The Forge Adventure Guides and staff, and have a deep commitment to creating the safest camp environment possible.
  • All counselors will also go through extensive training in activities, inclusion, diversity, and much more to ensure the best camp experience for all campers.
  • Awesome adult, college & high school camp Lead Counselors who are 16+ years in age will be engaging and facilitating the campers each week.
Is camp always outdoors?

Yes! We play outside in rain or shine! Please prepare your coyote for the elements with proper shoes, rain boots, jackets and an extra change of clothes (just in case).

 

* Camp will be cancelled for extreme weather conditions.

What is the camp cancellation policy?

Summer camp programming occurs rain or shine. Refunds will be offered up to 3 weeks prior to the start of camp (transaction fees will NOT be refunded). Credit or changes (availability permitting) are allowed up to 48 hours before the start date.
