Hey Parents! Reserve a spot for your child ages 7-14 years to Camp Survive this summer! Campers will spend 3 days developing survival & camping skills; setting up camp tents, exploring The Forge woods, gathering firewood for camp fires, cooking their own campfire lunches, and so much more!

Camp Details

Campers will be doing activities such as hiking, fishing, birding, bouldering, high & low ropes climbing, slingshot, slacklines, exploring creepy crawlers & animal habitats, nature art, compass reading, knot tying, woods awareness, storytelling, games, and even more!

  • July 5th - 7th, 2023 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Climbing on Friday, July 7th (for campers who meet requirements)
  • Ages: 7-14 (maximum of 40 campers)
  • Cost: $390
  • Lunch included: prepping, planning and cooking lunch over a campfire and setting up camp site tents
  • Awesome Forge bandana included

Requirements

For ropes course and zipline activities campers must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum weight 70 lbs-250 lbs
  • Minimum height 4'4” (52") - 6’6” (78")

** There will be other activities for those who do no meet climbing requirements.

How much does camp cost?

Our 3-day Camp Survive costs $390

When will Camp Survive be climbing?
  • Campers will climb on The Forge’s high ropes courses on July 7th. Campers will not be ziplining.
  • Any campers who do not meet the climbing height & weight requirements will have activities on our low ropes course, bouldering area, and other related activities that session time.
Where is Basecamp?

Basecamp will be at The Forge’s Quarry Classroom.

Who is facilitating Camp Survive?
  • Quarry Camp is designed and created by educators with a combined 30+years of experience working in camps, schools, and community programming.
  • Led by our Educational Program Director and Camp Coordinator, extensive hiring efforts are underway to find mature, creative, and AWESOME college, high school and adult camp Lead Counselors and Junior Counselors.
  • All counselors will be trained in CPR and Basic First Aid along with The Forge Adventure Guides and staff, and have a deep commitment to creating the safest camp environment possible.
  • All counselors will also go through extensive training in activities, inclusion, diversity, and much more to ensure the best camp experience for all campers.
  • Awesome adult, college & high school camp Lead Counselors who are 16+ years in age will be engaging and facilitating the campers each week.
  • Junior Counselors, ages 15-16 years old, will assist Lead Counselors with activities and programming.
Are phones and electronic devices allowed at camp?

Yes, but they must be in a backpack during activities. There will be plenty of time at lunch, during freetime, and other opportunities for pictures and capturing memories!

Will my child need money?
  • The Forge is a Cashless Operation.
  • Parents and campers have the opportunity to purchase The Forge merchandise at check-in and check-out.
  • We are currently accepting credit card swipe and chip pay, as well as debit cards.
  • Campers may purchase snacks and drinks during lunch time only, when The Foundry is open.
What lunches are included?
  • Lunch items list will be available closer to start of camp- campers will decide what to cook, plan their menu, how to cook & prep the food, and clean-up!
  • Well rounded, healthy, hot lunch over campfire on July 5th & 6th. 
  • Cold sandwiches, chips, water & dessert on July 7th.
  • Allergy, gluten- free, diabetic friendly options available per parent request.
Does my child need to bring a bike?
  • Campers must bring their own bikes and helmets if they want to utilize the Pump & Skills track and trail rides.
  • The Forge does not have any bikes for campers to use this summer.
  • We will lock the campers' bikes up at Base camp after camp each day for the duration of the week.
Can The Forge prorate your camper for missing days?

We cannot. We understand that summer can be hectic but we encourage parents to book their campers for a week that they can attend all five days and get the best experience possible!

  • We do not offer pro-rating or refunds
Is Camp Survive always outside?

Yes! We play outside in rain or shine! Please prepare your scout for the elements with proper shoes, rain boots, jackets and an extra change of clothes (just in case).

 

* Camp will be cancelled for extreme weather conditions.

Will they camp overnight?

No. Your camper will be waiting to be picked up from 4:00-4:15pm.

What is the camp cancellation policy?

Summer camp programming occurs rain or shine. Refunds will be offered up to 3 weeks prior to the start of camp. Credit or changes (availability permitting) are allowed up to 48 hours before the start date.
